About Me

July 27, 2010 § Leave a Comment

My name Jeffrey Britanico. I was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. I’m a student at BCIT and plan on learning for the rest of my life.

My favourite quote is “An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea.” — by Henry Ford.

I love New Media because I love ideas.

I love New Media because it means not having to do the same thing everyday. Today can be putting together the opening credits for a film. Tomorrow can be brainstorming for a branding strategy. The next day can be talking about a billboard.

Although young, it is apparent to me that thinking inside the box is a certain path to mediocrity. It is unrealistic to flip a switch and turn on a light. It is unrealistic to combine metal and physics homework and then be able to fly. It is unrealistic thinking that is the base of any idea worth existing.

Again, my name is Jeffrey Britanico. Let me know if you’re interested in, or have an idea out of the ordinary.

Examples of this service would be free email systems (hotmail, yahoo, gmail).

The philosophy, simply put, behind this module is this — with the high range of use and the low subscription prices, on-demand SaaS gives license benefits with out a license. « Read the rest of this entry »

20 Things I’ve learned in 20 years

Although I turned 20 a month ago, my first crack at something like this felt, more or less, forced. Now that I’ve gotten used to the new shirt that is 20 years old, I figure I’d try again.
Also, I can’t sleep.
Also, I found a petrifying sliver of silver hair atop my fro-faux-hawk.
Enjoy.

New Media Without Intellectual Property — Visual and Words by Jeffrey Britanico

I originally watched this under the impression that it was going to talk about the evolution the fashion world has taken across the years or maybe how small designers can still survive with fashion giants like the Gap or H&M dominating almost every key demographic.
Although it did touch on all of those thing, there was an underlying theme, if not a challenge. Because clothing was seen as too utilitarian of an aspect when the legal boundaries of intellectual property was being forged, there is no intellectual property rules for fashion. « Read the rest of this entry »
